Organised by Phil Miller, a former research scientist with a Ph.D. in mycology, who has lived in Euskal Herria since 1998. Phil is an inveterate traveller and experienced mountaineer with a broad knowledge of Euskal Herria, (The Basque Country) its mountains, traditions and folklore.
His experience and knowledge of Euskal Herria is both profound and broad and he would like to share it with you. These are tours that will enable you to hit the ground running and extract the maximum from this extraordinary country.

Experience your own private tour with Phil Miller, a Scotsman living in the Basque country these past ten years. Phil’s knowledge of the Basque country is both profound and extensive and you can be sure that he will introduce you to the authentic Basque experience. This land is home to Europe’s oldest culture and most obscure language, Euskera. The Basque country offers a unique mix of wild mountain scenery, art treasures, curious musical traditions and exceptional food and wine.
- As well as individual, small group, family and business tours Phil has worked for ten years in teaching English as a foreign language and has led language summer camps for Basque people in Scotland
- Individual needs such as vegetarian food stops, breakfasts and dinners can be accommodated
- Private, guided tours, for up to six people, start at £50 per person per day (based on six people). Small group tours for seven or more start at £32 per person per day (based on fourteen people)

I never actually knew anything about the area before hand but it turned out to be a beautiful spot.
