Isabelle Moore – Furniture Craft & Design Courses
Isabelle Moore is an award-winning furniture designer creating contemporary bespoke furniture in her central Edinburgh studio, using traditional hand tools and fine furniture-making techniques.
She trained at Parnham College, a renowned school in Dorset for furniture making established by John Makepeace, and has travelled and taught extensively throughout her career, sharing her skills through short courses, weekend workshops, and artist residencies.
Isabelle produces free-standing furniture pieces to commission, speculative work for galleries, and has work represented in public and private collections at home and abroad. Her skills were recently showcased along with 2 other expert furniture makers and teams on the BBC2 series Jay’s Yorkshire Workshop, fabricating gifts for local unsung heroes around the Bradford area to mark their extraordinary acts of service.
Whatever your skill level, Isabelle offers courses that are designed to cover the fundamentals of the craft, tools, and material. Small classes enable peer learning with sufficient time to practice so that you are empowered to pursue your ongoing creative goals with accuracy and consistency.
