The Rhynd –  rural bliss 15 mins from St Andrews

The Rhynd, an exceptional farm…

In late August, under the golden light of late summer, Serenity Scotland had the pleasure of visiting The Rhynd, an exceptional farm nestled in the picturesque countryside of the Kingdom of Fife. Set right on the edge of the ancient Tentsmuir Woods, the farm greets visitors with a tranquil atmosphere, bucolic vistas and woodland views, and an immediate, genuine warmth from the hosts.

Exploring this vibrant, beautifully diversified farm offers an authentic connection to rural Scottish heritage and contemporary land stewardship. The team at The Rhynd are passionate champions of sustainability, living by a clear and simple philosophy: the less distance food travels, the better. Driven by Scotland’s world-class standards of food production, every corner of the estate reflects a deep respect for the land. Visitors can see their hand-reared Tamworth pigs thriving in a natural environment, learn about their fresh orchard apples pressed on-site, and step into bustling polytunnels overflowing with crisp, home-grown vegetables.

Where their own harvests end, community collaboration begins. To complete their field-to-fork vision, The Rhynd partners closely with a talented local baker and a master butcher who specializes in the finest Scottish meats, ensuring that everything served is fresh, ethical, and rooted in the region.

The Rhynd has a cafe and accommodation including Forest Rooms and the farmhouse is available for exclusive bookings.

For anyone seeking an intimate, immersive glimpse into the heart of Scottish agriculture, artisan food production, and sustainable living, Serenity Scotland highly recommends a visit to The Rhynd.

On-site at The Rhynd is also the Scottish Clay Shooting Centre and they offer clay shooting, archery, and axe thowing. The archery in particular was very relaxing!

You too can experience The Rhynd on a packaged or custom experience Custom Tour with Serenity Scotland.
