The Glenturret Triple Wood

The Glenturret Triple Wood was a favourite dram on a recent Serenity Scotland private tour. It is aged in bourbon barrels, as well as American and European Sherry casks. The Triple Wood flavor profile is candied orange peel, sweet vanilla and ginger cake. The tasting notes mention cinnamon, barley sugar and fresh oak but these seem less discernable.

The Glenturret Triple Wood has been judged to be the world’s best single malt Scotch whisky at the 2023 International Wines and Spirits Competition (IWSC). At the IWSC it won an Outstanding Gold medal with a score of 99.
